A glass being filled with drinking water in a kitchen

Reverse osmosis, two ways

A dedicated tap for drinking and cooking.

RO is worth discussing when dissolved solids or specific dissolved contaminants drive your choice. Compare a traditional storage-tank design with a tankless system that adds minerals after RO.

HALO Ultra Plus RO manufacturer product image
Reverse osmosis · Alkalinity booster

HALO Ultra Plus RO

A dedicated drinking-water system that combines reverse osmosis with a final mineral stage. A practical complement to whole-house filtration when your kitchen water needs more focused treatment.

H-RO-PLUS · 50 GPD membrane · 4.5-gallon storage tank
  • Four stages: 5-micron sediment, carbon block, RO membrane, and alkalinity booster.
  • Smart Faucet filter-change indication, leak detection, and a protective valve.
  • HALO publishes a 1:1 purified-water-to-drain ratio; actual output depends on feed water and pressure.
NSF/ANSI 58

The manual states NSF International certification to Standard 58 for specified performance-sheet claims. HALO separately identifies independent testing for PFAS/PFOS and some other claims; those do not automatically become NSF-certified claims. Examples of listed treatment targets include dissolved solids, fluoride, lead, and pentavalent arsenic. We review the current performance sheet for your concern.

Triton X12 Tankless RO manufacturer product image
Tankless · Remineralized drinking water

Triton X12 Tankless RO

Free up the space a storage tank would occupy. Ionfaucet’s Triton X12 filters water on demand, then uses PCC remineralization for a balanced-tasting finish.

361X12 · Published peak 1,200 GPD / 1.13 GPM · Indoor electrical supply required
  • Five-stage treatment with a 0.0001-micron RO membrane.
  • Published pH target around 7.5 after remineralization; actual pH varies with source water and operating conditions.
  • Published 3:1 purified-to-drain ratio and an optional digital faucet with TDS and filter-life information.
Manufacturer lists NSF 42

Ionfaucet lists targets including TDS, PFOA/PFOS, fluoride, arsenic, chlorine, and lead. These are manufacturer claims; the NSF 42 reference does not establish certification for that entire list or NSF 53/58 certification. A TDS display does not identify individual contaminants. Ask us to match the documentation to your concern.

pH 7.0 is neutral; a “balanced” drinking experience does not mean every sample will measure exactly 7.0. Remineralization and alkalinity stages can change pH. We check the actual installed result. RO requires a drain, filter service, and suitable inlet conditions; Triton also requires electricity.

Build around your water

Standard three- and four-stage options.

Start with your concern, then select the cartridges. We help you balance taste, targeted treatment, flow, and maintenance without assuming that a stage count tells the whole story.

Standard 3-Stage Filtration manufacturer product image
Flexible cartridges · Countertop or below sink

Standard 3-Stage Filtration

Build a straightforward filtration setup around your water source and available space. Choose compatible cartridges for the concerns you want to address.

Ionfaucet FS-3 · Approx. 14.2 × 5.75 × 13 inches (L × W × H)
  • Three separate stages allow a tailored sequence—for example, sediment followed by selected carbon or specialty media.
  • Above- or below-counter installation and mounting choices.
  • Can be considered for drinking-water filtration or compatible ionizer prefiltration after checking flow and pressure.
Configuration-specific documentation

There is no single contaminant-removal or NSF certification claim for every possible cartridge combination. Sediment and chlorine taste/odor are common design goals; heavy-metal, chloramine, fluoride, and other claims require the exact cartridge’s documentation. Ionfaucet recommends replacing the white housings every two years.

Standard 4-Stage Filtration manufacturer product image
An extra stage for a tailored setup

Standard 4-Stage Filtration

Four wall-mounted housings give you another cartridge position when a simpler arrangement does not cover your treatment goals.

Ionfaucet four-stage wall mount · Cartridge selections confirmed in your quote
  • Choose each stage for your feed water, rather than assuming more housings always means better treatment.
  • A proposed design may combine sediment, carbon, and a documented specialty cartridge.
  • We check cabinet space, cartridge access, pressure loss, and any downstream ionizer connection.
Configuration-specific documentation

This configurable housing system is not automatically an RO system, a purifier, or certified for every substance. Reduction claims follow the selected cartridges and operating conditions. If anti-scale media is chosen, Ionfaucet instructs that any KDF be placed before it. White housings have a two-year replacement recommendation.

Taste, odor & health claims

42 covers specified aesthetic claims such as chlorine taste and odor. 53 covers specified health-related reduction claims, such as lead or cysts. Check the individual model’s list.

Emerging compounds

401 covers specified emerging contaminants. A model’s certification applies to the substances listed in its performance sheet, rather than every pharmaceutical or chemical.

Microbiological purification

P231 adds bacteria and virus performance requirements. Aquapremier and Aqualuxe carry this protocol; the other three models are not presented as microbiological purifiers.

Consult the Multipure certification chart and NSF’s exact-model listing. HALO Ultra Plus’s manual identifies NSF/ANSI 58 certification for specified claims. Ionfaucet lists NSF 42 for Triton X12. Configurable 3-/4-stage systems require cartridge-specific review. These certifications are not interchangeable.

Make it work in your space

Choose your installation configuration.

Countertop

Accessible and convenient when a compatible faucet accepts a diverter. Aquaversa, Aquaperform, and Aquapremier offer single- or dual-hose arrangements. Aqualuxe uses its own countertop kit; Aquamini kits are selected separately.

Below sink

Keep the unit out of sight and use a dedicated drinking-water faucet. The larger Multipure models offer kits with or without faucet hardware. Check sink holes, cabinet access, and pressure before installation.

Inline or connected equipment

Base systems can use compatible existing hardware. Refrigerator, ice-maker, or ionizer applications require a flow and pressure check. An RO-to-ionizer combination also needs suitable mineral content and manufacturer approval.

For Aquaversa, Aquaperform, and Aquapremier, current below-sink finish choices include chrome, brushed nickel, gloss black, brushed stainless steel, matte black, white, and oil-rubbed bronze/matte dark brown. Aqualuxe offers the same listed finish family. Kit, monitor, adapter, and finish availability are confirmed with your quote. Pull-out/spray faucets may not accept countertop diverters.

Multipure Aquashower filter

Add better shower water

Multipure Aquashower

A simple point-of-use upgrade for the shower. Multipure’s KDF-55 media is intended for warm shower water, with a manufacturer claim of 90% or greater free-chlorine reduction.

Choose the filter alone, a standard shower nozzle, or a massage nozzle, subject to current availability. The filter fits between the shower arm and a compatible showerhead, and the cartridge is replaceable.

Aquashower is a shower filter, not a drinking-water purifier or hardness-removing softener. The drinking-water systems’ NSF certifications do not transfer to it; ask for current model-specific certification documentation. Manufacturer details ↗

Plan with confidence

Common questions.

Should I choose RO or carbon block?

It depends on the substance you want to reduce. RO is often considered for dissolved-solids and specific dissolved-contaminant goals. A certified carbon-block model can address its listed contaminants while retaining dissolved minerals. Bring your water report and priorities so we can compare specific claims.

Will a filter remove everything?

No system treats every possible substance under every condition. We match exact model claims to your water, planned flow, cartridge care, and any lab results. A higher pH or lower TDS reading alone does not establish drinking-water safety.

How do I get pricing?

Contact us for a quote. Tell us the model, installation type, faucet finish, water source, and any contaminants of concern. We will confirm equipment, installation scope, and replacement-filter planning.

Do you help with well water?

Yes—start with a current water analysis. Additional treatment or disinfection may be needed before selecting drinking-water equipment. Follow boil-water notices and utility guidance; a countertop filter is not automatically a complete response to unsafe water.
